The SER60sgh differs from its sister model by having cast iron stands and black burner caps.(While stainless steel looks great when new, heat instantly makes stainless steel take on a blueish hue.)Pans are also less liable to slide on cast iron. The gas fitter was impressed with the internal workings and described it as more commercial kitchen than domestic in construction. It came with LPG jets and has been converted to run on bottled gas. The knobs, which are apparently designed by the Italian fashion house Canelli are easy to use and control and pull off for cleaning. The hob is constructed of one piece of metal,so after a big boil-over,wiping up is fairly standard.I wipe it with hot soapy water and dry it immediately with a microcloth. The stands are well arranged and on the smallest burner they meet closely enough to hold my small coffee pot without it becoming wobbly. |
